There are many religions and faiths in the world today. Many look to them for moral guidelines, but a lot of what they teach is about prophecy and future events.
Apokalypsis

The Book of Revelation or Book of the Apocalypse is the final book of the New Testament is a prime example of this. Written in Koine Greek, its title is derived from the first word of the text: apokalypsis, meaning ‘unveiling’ or ‘revelation’.
Daniel 12:4 states, “But you, Daniel, keep the words secret and the book sealed until the time of the end.” This verse means that Daniel’s prophecies would not be fully understood until the end times. So yes, a time of enlightenment and understanding is predicted.
In both religion and theology, revelation is the disclosure of some form of truth or knowledge through communication with a deity (god) or other supernatural entities.
Revealed Religions
Revealed religions have religious texts which they view as divinely or supernaturally revealed or inspired. For example, Orthodox Jews, Christians and Muslims believe that the Torah was received from God on biblical Mount Sinai. Quakers believe in continuing revelation: that God continuously reveals truth directly to individuals. It’s not just limited to Abrahamic religion, though.

The Guru Granth Sahib is considered to be a divine revelation by God to the Sikh gurus. In Hinduism, Śruti includes the four Vedas and has been described as a revelation through anubhava (direct experience) or of primordial origins realised by ancient Rishis.

Shamans from all around the world (usually what people would call pagan religions) receive messages from spirit whilst in a trance like state. In astrology, we are nearing the end of the Age of Pisces and nearing the Age of Aquarius. The Age of Aquarius is a period that is believed to bring about a time of increased spirituality and harmony on Earth.
My Personal Revelation
For many years of my life, I previously belonged to a millenialist fundamental Christian cult. To them, you sacrifice your time, your life, your everything, because you will be rewarded with everlasting life.
However, the flip side to that is that if you disobey God’s commands, then you would suffer the same fate as everyone who wasn’t one of their 8 million followers and suffer everlasting destruction. Considering there are over 12 billion people on the Earth today, that is a very tiny elite number of people that would be saved.
It took me a long time, but I was enlightened to see that this was a means of controlling members in this particular religious sect. It is easy to see this as an outsider, but not as easy as someone who is mentally fully convicted to such teachings.
Enjoy Life Now

Putting off living life to the fullest is a waste. And realising that was my revelation. I love nature, and the great outdoors is my church. I enjoy rituals celebrating the seasons of the year with friends. My spirituality is now based around my gut feelings and personal conscience. I have my own views of right and wrong. I do not believe in judging those who believe differently.
Do I regret my time in a fundamental religion? No, it was a time of learning for me. I don’t dismiss the Bible in its entirety, but neither am I slave to each teachings. I also respect the teachings of other faiths and beliefs.
What I do notice is that I feel happier in myself. I don’t feel loaded down. Neither do I feel the need to justify myself. Yes, I declare myself a Druid. I based this on Julius Caesar’s description of a Druid as a philosopher of nature.
I notice synchronicity. Similarities between ancient people who never interacted with each other and separated by vast oceans.

From evidence I have witnessed, I also believe that we possess a spirit that lives on for a while when our earthly bodies expire and are eventually reincarnated when we become a distant memory. That we are there to welcome family and friends when they pass and are spirit guardians. I will write more on this in a future article.
I would love to know your personal beliefs, though.
